Volunteering
Give us the gift of time by volunteering for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund
Whether you have limited time or lots of time to give, there are still many ways you can help make a difference to the lives of families affected by cancer.
How you can help
- Volunteering your time and unique skills can also improve the proficiency of our team and save us costs in out-sourcing specialists.
- Directly raising funds is just one way to help us. You can also help to raise awareness of who we are and what we do, enabling us to grow our networks and reach more supporters and beneficiaries.
The benefits of volunteering
- Meet new people
- Learn new things
- Boost your self-esteem
- It looks great on your CV
- Keep your brain and/or body active
Examples of volunteering opportunities at Lennox
- Represent us in the local community at fundraising events.
- Cheer on our amazing competitors at marathons, triathlons, etc.
- Research new fundraising opportunities for the charity.
- Help our beneficiaries by delivering support services or attending family events.
- Co-ordinate or manage local volunteers or collections.
- Assist with our office and administrative tasks.
Set up your own volunteer fundraising group
It’s easy to set up your own group and it’s up to you how much time you want to give and how you want it to fit around your other commitments.
It could be a matter of simply getting a few friends together and turning things you do anyway into a fundraising opportunity. If you have more time, you could organise more, or bigger, events.
Some examples of events our groups have previously organised include: Christmas parties, clothes swaps, coffee mornings, quiz nights, walks, bike rides, art shows and balls.
Other ways to help
Our charity game cards are an easy way to have competitive fun with friends, family, neighbours, colleagues and customers; whilst raising important funds for our charity.
We have a need for volunteers throughout the year, from event stewarding to gift deliveries.
Engage your staff and customers by forming a partnership with our charity.
