The shock of finding out that your child has cancer is devastating, and the emotional journey that follows can often be just as difficult. If your child is old enough to understand what they are fighting, the strain on both your child and you can multiply whilst each family member deals with their own different emotions.
Lennox have been such a huge help to us. They provide emotional support when I’ve just needed a chat and things have got too much.
The benefits
- Family-wide support Our team are on hand for parents, siblings, grandparents, or anyone in your family who needs to talk. We can listen to a story, talk through a problem, or just provide a shoulder to cry on.
- 24 hour personal support We will provide your family members with a contact number for one of Family Support Team so you can call or message any time of day, 365 days a year.
- Professional wellbeing We can put you in touch with other families in a similar situation to yourself, or find you a local Community Support Group. If professional counselling is needed, we can also consider the use of our Mental Wellbeing Crisis Grants to cover the cost.
