Ferrovial extends our partnership for another year

We’re delighted to announce that our charity of the year partnership with Ferrovial Construction has been extended for another year and will now include all Ferrovial businesses in the UK.

Our relationship with Ferrovial Construction began in 2022 and in 2023, they named us as their first-ever charity of the year campaign. Since then, we’ve organised and collaborated on several initiatives, the impact of which you can see in the report below.

The partnership has fostered numerous fundraising events and employee engagement initiatives, including a charity golf day, a football tournament between the different project teams, and a toy drive for children. A team of Ferrovial Construction employees also undertook the London Bridges 10-mile Walk as part of the company’s Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Week, rallying both awareness and funding for Lennox’s initiatives.

In May 2024, Ferrovial Construction invited Lennox to talk at their prestigious Supply Chain Engagement Event and Value Awards, an opportunity for us to connect with other businesses and extend awareness for our cause. The event introduced Lennox to potential new supporters, some of whom have since begun their own collaborations with us. Read more about this event here.

Lindsey Bidwell, Relations and Partnerships Manager at Lennox, expressed excitement about the partnership’s extension, saying, “We’re absolutely delighted that Ferrovial has chosen to extend their partnership with Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund for another year. The enthusiasm and commitment shown by Ferrovial Construction’s project teams and senior leaders have truly elevated our work, helping us reach even more families and make a profound impact. We are honoured to continue this journey together and are excited to see the positive impact we can make for our young beneficiaries and their families in the coming year.”

Also commenting on the partnership extension Karl Goose, Managing Director of Ferrovial Construction UK & Ireland said: “Extending our partnership with Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund is the right decision given the strong relationship we’ve established with the charity. Over the past year, we’ve seen incredible engagement and support from our employees and supply chain, significantly impacting the families and communities the charity serves. Our commitment to social responsibility and giving back is a core aspect of our business, and this extension allows us to broaden our impact, the charity’s visibility and continue driving positive change.”

As the partnership moves into its next phase, Ferrovial Construction has an exciting lineup of fundraising activities planned, aiming to once again rally employee engagement, raise awareness of childhood cancer, and generate vital funds to support our projects. This renewed partnership will enhance both our visibility and Ferrovial’s positive community impact, as we continue to support children, young people and families affected by cancer across the UK.
